I became interested in meditation in the 1970’s. Two things struck me as significant. It seemed to offer a spiritual experience without religious commitment. Secondly its message suggested that it would help to reconcile what I considered to be my free spirit with the social restraints of being a working adult in the U.K.

That was all a long time ago. I went on to become qualified as a teacher of Transcendental Meditation. I studied the philosophy and practice of Yoga and the traditional teachings of Ayurvedic Medicine. I’ve probably taught TM to about 1000 people, many of whom would say that it has been of great benefit.

Ayurved is a fascinating subject. It is a complete science, offering a clear explanation of the cause of ill health and providing remedies which often cannot be matched by Western Medicine. This is, of course, a personal view which nevertheless has left me with a significant insight into the intricacies of the human body.

Meditation and its associated practices still form the basis of my world-view. My goal of achieving a balance between personal beliefs and success in working life has been partially achieved. I now work part time as a management and I.T. trainer. In my work I encounter the various manifestations of the stress that people in this country have learned to live with. For some of them, meditation has much to offer and this is the purpose of this website. If what you read whilst navigating the site strikes a chord, then I would be happy to hear from you. It may be that there is an answer here for you.
